When replying to a ticket and entering the 'next action', it would be great to be able to have a dropdown and define a set of standard/common next actions.
Something like server reboots might have 'Assign to tech to reboot', 'tech assigned, update customer once complete' etc...

Alasdair: also. is it possible to create 'default' 'next actions'?
jstanden: That's actually what I want to fold into checklists, it would be great if they could let you just pick the action to use quickly
then every ticket in the list says a summary of what needs to happen without you even clicking in
Alasdair: someone like xx could benefit with something like that for mundane things like server reboot, next action = 'send tech to reboot', 'tech sent, update customer once complete' etc.. which would be used time and time again.
jstanden: definitely, it would be real easy for me to even make some team specific ones in a dropdown for quick selection -- I'd JIRA that for sure

In the meantime this is easy enough with Firefox -- which will autocomplete form fields with your past entries.
I really would like to see the option to make "waiting on customer reply" checked by default.
